NI RAT
Nirat is a literary form about travel, with Khemar Saiyok being the first recorded on a phonograph, marking a milestone in Thai music
history. This first recording of traditional Thai music took place during King Rama V’s reign when Europeans began documenting Thai songs.
RA NAT
The ranat, a traditional Thai percussion instrument, originated from foreign influences and became central to ensembles like Piphat and
Mahori. Emerging in the Ayutthaya period and refined in Rattanakosin, it is now a key symbol of Thai heritage in royal and ceremonial
